Hanlon Park Update

Written by

The Hanlon Park, Stones Corner upgrade and rejuvenation is coming!  Many catchment residents and others contributed to Brisbane City Council's cooperative planning process in February and March, and three N4C representatives participated in a very productive Co-Design workshop on 3 March.

N4C is proposing the removal of the outdated concrete channelling and re-establishing some aquatic life in Norman Creek, along with diverse riparian vegetation on the banks.  A bit more nature will give people a beautiful and uplifting space for walks and other uses.

The need for this project was the main impetus for the Norman Creek 2012-2031 Master Plan, so we are really looking forward to the new Hanlon Park!  It is great to see that Brisbane City Council has got the planning process well underway.

Council has released and obtained feedback on a draft concept plan; the final plan will be announced in early 2019, subject to detailed design and further investigations.  Read more here.
