The proposal is intended to offer practical solutions, such as traffic calming, over- and underpasses and speed reduction to be implemented by council and governments to allow safe movement of koalas across Boundary Rd.
It would be great if together local, state and federal governments in conjunction with Road Ecology experts could commit part of the $6 Million koala protection package to funding some of, if not all of these proposals and in a relatively quick timeframe as in the last 2 years 15 of 19 known koalas that have been struck have died.
Thanks to Rob and Greg at Coorparoo Finger Gullies and all who have contributed to this excellent proposal.
